Born From the Ocean, Built for Community

At its heart, Elementa is more than a diving company. It is a passion project built by two friends who wanted to create something meaningful: a space where people can learn, explore, connect, and feel at home in the water. Whether it is through freediving courses, local island dive days, spearfishing adventures, or quiet moments floating above the blue, Elementa exists to bring like-minded ocean people together.

Behind Elementa are co-owners Troy and Zofia, two people with different stories, skills, and strengths, but one shared vision.

Troy is a professional coxswain, an avid spearfisherman, a natural waterman, and someone who has spent countless hours reading the ocean. He understands boats, tides, weather, fish, safety, and the kind of practical knowledge that only comes from years of being in it. He brings steadiness, confidence, and a deep respect for the sea. He is also, proudly, his fiancée Trin's biggest fan.

Zofia’s path to the ocean looked a little different. She grew up in the country, far from the coastline, but somewhere along the way the sea became home. Now as a Molchanov's Freedive Instructor, she cannot imagine a life that does not revolve around the ocean. Freediving gave her a way to slow down, listen inward, and connect with the water in a way that felt both grounding and expansive. She brings the teaching, the giggles, the structure, and the belief that anyone can build confidence in the water with the right support.

Together, Troy and Zofia are the kind of power duo that makes Elementa what it is.

One brings the boat, the spearfishing knowledge, the local water experience, and the calm practicality of someone who knows how to handle himself offshore. The other brings the freediving education, the community vision, the nervous-system-loving breathwork, and the ability to make people feel safe as they discover what they are capable of underwater.

They are a clash of separate talents, but that is exactly the point. Elementa is built from contrast: country and coast, spearfishing and freediving, adventure and softness, skill and soul. Together, those differences form something balanced, grounded, and deeply ocean-focused.

Elementa is for the people who feel pulled toward the water. For the ones who want to learn to dive safely and confidently. For the ones who want to meet other ocean lovers. For the ones who want more than just a course — who want a community. It is for beginners, salty souls, curious locals, quiet adventurers, and anyone who has ever felt that life makes a little more sense after time in the sea.

Elementa is here to offer courses, expeditions, recreation dive days, and community experiences across the beautiful waters of Nelson Bay, Port Stephens, Coffs Harbour, and beyond. But more than anything, it is here to create connection — to the ocean, to ourselves, and to each other.
